An extremely passionate and committed trainer, Praful has over 12 years of experience in the fitness industry as a trainer for the marathon, athletics and general physical fitness. Praful has a track record of providing dynamic exercise programs designed specifically to meet the needs of both individual and group clients. Through his training methods and techniques, Praful raises the bar constantly and helps individuals to give their best each time. He believes in achieving and maintaining fitness through improved body composition, physical performance and healthy lifestyle. His training sessions are extremely varied and he can spring surprises with newer and challenging activities.
A former national-level middle distance runner, Praful started his athletics career at the age of 13. In his early years, he represented his school and college in the 200, 400 and 800 meter categories. In 1991, at university, he broke a 14-year-old record. Praful has also captained the Mumbai city athletic contingent at state level meets. He has completed several marathons and half marathons in Mumbai and abroad. His other interests include swimming, music and outdoor activities.
Praful Uchil is a co-founder of Striders
Deepak is a co founder of Striders. His interest and baptism into athletics began as early as 12. A trainer par excellence, Deepak is also into distance running.
During his school and college days he was actively involved with athletics, in particular, hurdles, triple jump, heptathlon and pole vault. Later, he represented Nasik and Mumbai suburbs district from 1986 to 2002 in long jump. He also represented Maharashtra State in long jump and triple jump from 1990 till 2000. Deepak is four times National medallist in triple jump.
Deepak has a diploma in sports coaching from National Institute of Sports NIS (Bangalore). He was also the coach for training national level athletes at NIS Patiala for senior India Champions in 2007
A core trainer of Striders, Deepak is known to follow a firm and assertive style of training. Deepak’s passions include trekking and driving. He also actively involved in the promotion of sports’ for tribals in rural areas of Nasik.
Deepak has completed several marathons.
A former national level athlete and triple jump champion, Nilesh has a wealth of athletic experience across many sports. Like his other colleagues at Striders, Nilesh started competitive athletics at the age of 12 as a 200m runner and long jumper.
Nilesh had been participating in 200m, long jump, hurdles and triple jump both at interschool and inter zonal levels during the early ‘90s. He represented his college and Maharashtra University at the various inter – university meets in the same disciplines. He was also a senior state level triple jump champion.
Nilesh has also played football and represented his school both at state and national level under-16s, and also represented his college football team. He was a part of the under-16 Indian camp for football. Nilesh has also played cricket during the Air India and Times Shield tournaments.
A skilful trainer, Nilesh also has a CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification . His training includes an excellent post run soothing stretches. He is a popular time-keeper during the Striders Time trials.
Rohan Pal Singh, Trainer
An young, energetic, polite, focussed trainer. A coach with a smiling face has ability to coach any age group. Most often he can make you feel even the toughest exercises look simple and easy.
A very popular coach of striders Rohan got into athletics when he was 12. He had represented both his school and college in 100, 200, and 400 mts besides long jump and relay at the district level, Men Open category. He has also participated at the State Level and Open National selection in 100 & 200 mts.
He loves nature trails and trekking besides cricket. He is also a certified CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation).
Trainees can never say no to Rohan when he sets a target. He has the ability to convince people with his smile and firmness.
